2013 Andrew Niccol: The Host

Movie about an alien species invading Earth by embedding themselves into human brains. One girl fights back and becomes "sisters" with her alien guest. She finds her way to a human community, where she learns about humans as humans learn to trust and know her. There is a love story and a happy ending.
